Commercial Partnerships

Cat & Room works with selected pet, home and lifestyle brands, merchants and advertising partners on commercial collaborations that are relevant to our readers and compatible with our editorial focus.

Sponsored Content & Brand Partnerships

Brands and merchants may commission Cat & Room to create and publish sponsored articles, branded content, suitable product features or other agreed editorial advertising. Each engagement has an agreed scope and deliverable, and the brand or merchant pays Cat & Room a service fee for that commercial content or advertising service.

These payments are for agreed commercial services. They are not donations, fundraising or personal transfers. Payment does not automatically guarantee publication: every proposal must fit our subject matter and readers. Paid content is disclosed where appropriate, and Cat & Room retains editorial discretion over what we publish.

Display Advertising

Selected display advertising, website advertising placements and other relevant advertising opportunities may be available. Brands, advertisers or advertising platforms pay Cat & Room advertising fees or display advertising revenue for approved placements, subject to audience relevance and site context.

How a Partnership Works

1. A brand or business partner contacts Cat & Room.
2. We review the proposal for audience relevance and editorial suitability.
3. Both sides agree the deliverables, timing, price and other commercial terms.
4. Payment instructions are provided for the agreed commercial service.
5. Cat & Room completes or publishes the agreed deliverable.
6. Any agreed follow-up is completed.

Commercial payments may be processed through supported payment providers, including PayPal where available and mutually agreed. The specific scope agreed for a partnership determines what the payment covers.

Affiliate Partnerships

Affiliate commission is separate from a sponsored content or advertising payment. If a reader follows an affiliate link and completes a qualifying purchase or action with a third-party merchant, that merchant or its affiliate network may pay Cat & Room a commission. The reader purchases from the third-party merchant, not from Cat & Room, and generally does not pay an extra fee because of the affiliate link.
